Mohammad Saleh Zarepour
I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Manchester. I am also a Life Member of Clare Hall College at the University of Cambridge and Associate Member of the Birmingham Center for Philosophy of Religion.
My research interests include medieval Islamic philosophy, philosophy of religion, philosophy of language, philosophy of mathematics, and philosophy of logic. In recognition of my work, I was awarded a 2023 Philip Leverhulme Prize in Philosophy and Theology.
I am on the editorial boards of Logic, Epistemology, and the Unity of Science (a Springer book series), Religious Studies (a CUP journal), AGATHEOS (a recently launched open access journal for philosophy of religion).
Background: I was an associate member (Feb 2022 - Jul 2023) and earlier a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Oct 2020 - Jan 2022) at the Global Philosophy of Religion Project at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Birmingham. I was also a Humboldt Postdoctoral Researcher at Munich School of Ancient Philosophy (Apr 2019 - Sep 2020). I received a PhD in Philosophy from Tarbiat Modares University in 2015 and another in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Cambridge in 2019.
